Simple Anxiety Solutions That Work!
Because anxiety is bound to strike you at some point, it's never too early to learn how to deal with it. These anxiety solutions are great ideas for stopping stress and worry before they stop you.

Get Positive With AffirmationsAnxiety is often caused by negative thinking patterns. If you can establish positive patterns instead, you can keep ahead of your stressors and keep control of the situation. Here is an example: "Today is going to be a long day." This is not something you want to wake up thinking, but many of us do. While it may be a fact that you've got many hours of work and other responsibilities stretching before you, try this one instead - "Today's another day full of surprises and opportunities." Or how about this one - "I wonder what good thing will happen today?" The negative part of your mind will tell you that's a lie. You don't really believe THAT, do you? When that negative voice speaks up, drown it out by repeating it, "I wonder what good thing will happen today?" Keep repeating until your negative voice goes back to sleep. Few people understand the power of these phrases, or "affirmations." They create a "self-fulfilling prophecy." If you constantly tell yourself that you will fail, there is a good chance that you will. Positive affirmations are the key to positive thinking to defeat stress.
Make A Decision To Get HealthyAnxiety is also a physical response of the body to stress. For this reason, being in better physical shape is a great way to reduce stress and feel better. Focus on eating right, exercising right and sleeping right. Don't skip meals, and try your best to get a balanced meal each time. Make sure you have a good, healthy breakfast. Cut down on the coffee. Caffeine can seriously effect stress level. Start a simple exercise routine. If there is an activity you enjoy, like swimming or playing sports, make time to do it. Two or three times a week is enough. If you're not the athletic type, try some long distance walking. Try Meditation Meditation goes a long way in fighting anxiety, and it's a simple thing that anybody can do virtually anywhere. There are several types of meditation that you can try. - Visualization. We all do this when we daydream. Picture yourself in a place that you'd like be; a sandy white beach, camping in the mountains, a field of golden flowers. Imagine all the sights, sounds, smells and feelings you'd experience there. This little "escape" can help clear out your mind and better cope with stress. - Deep Breathing. When you feel anxiety setting in, take a minute to breathe. Deep breathing involves breathing slowly and naturally. Let each breath come when it wants to. You can also imagine breathing out your stress, and breathing in calmness. - Focus On Positivity. Simply close your eyes, breathe deeply, and focus on a positive thought instead of a negative one. Pick one good thing that happened recently, and focus on the feeling it gives you. Getting yourself to this state of inner peace is a great help in dealing with daily stresses. Dispel Anxiety With Logic Always keep in mind that anxiety is caused by illogical thinking. One idea gets fixed in your head and distorted out of proportion. For example, you may think "I mess up everything I do." Now, try reasoning it out. DO you mess up everything you do? Of course not! You messed up something or other, and now you've enlarged it to include everything. Sometimes speaking or writing your negative thoughts helps to dispel them. Imagine telling someone about your problem, or write it down. The minute you hear yourself say it, or see it on the page, you can see the absurdity of it. It becomes clear that these negative ideas have no basis in reality. Try out different anxiety solutions and see what works best for you. You can treat most anxiety problems by yourself, using these simple methods. Then, you can face life confidently and calmly, ready for anything.
